Dear Parents/Carers
CGHS: Cyber Safety and Bullying issues online
Event Time: Monday 20th May 6.30-7:30pm
Presenter: Senior Constable Debbie Chrystal, our Youth Liaison Officer Ryde Police Command
Location: CGHS Staff Common Room or School Hall (dependent upon on RSVP)
As part of the school plan for 2018-2020, our strategic direction focuses on 'Partners In Learning.' We would like all Parents/Carers to increase their engagement in the learning and support of student wellbeing in the School. In consultation with the Parent and Citizen Association, we would like to support parents for Partners In Learning, by inviting Senior Constable Debbie Chrystal, our Youth Liaison Officer from Ryde Police Command, to present a Parent Forum on Cyber Safety and Bullying issues online.
She will also be conducting a similar seminar for all students in each year group next term. Areas of discussion for the forum, depending on year group, include: Cyber safety, bullying issues, drug and alcohol issues, and domestic violence. By mirroring the forum close together, it gives parents assistance in understanding where to access information and to start conversations with students at home.
