Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had a lot of issues with the colourfastness of the blue socks our students have been wearing. Many of them do not wash well and appear grey and old very quickly. To overcome this problem the P & C has purchased a better quality blue sock that has been tested for colourfastness. These socks are available at the Clothing Pool for $7 per pair which is more expensive than the current sock at $5 per pair, but they retain their blue colour, last longer and do not look old and shabby.
We are requesting that parents purchase the new socks from the Clothing Pool (who make no profit on these socks) rather than the cheaper socks that lose their colour quickly. Students who wear the faded grey looking or whitish socks will be asked to purchase blue socks. White, grey or faded blue socks are not part of the uniform. We ask for your assistance to ensure the uniform looks neat and smart.
